I think this tweet proves that Tom didn’t ignore anyone intentionally. Have you ever been on a stage or in the middle of a large crowd? When there’s cameras going off, lights shinning in your eyes, and hundreds of people calling your name amongst screaming its hard to notice everything. To expect him to look directly at every fan or even in your direction when far in the back (and maybe its just the photo but it looked like they were swallowed by the crowd) is a little ridiculous. The fans in the front aren’t acknowledged simply because they’re near the cameras but because they are easier to see and access. I highly doubt he did it on purpose and he apologized in his tweet. As far as RDJ goes he probably did a better job of covering all his sides but I doubt even he saw all his fans and waved to them. It’s hard to do that when you have an agenda to keep. You have to remember that even if the stars are there for the fans the premiere producers have a different agenda. The producers want interviews and photos etc to promote the film more. The stars are there to do a job, premieres aren’t for free fan conferences. They’re glorified promo spots. As a result, when stars deviate to talk to fans they’re often pushed along. I wasn’t at the premiere but from watching fan posted vids I feel like he hasn’t changed at all. The energy around him as changed. Producers see the large fan base around Tom and want to market that so he’s getting asked to do more interviews, take more photos etc. As a result, he has less time to sneak away from the group and talk to his fans. I don’t mean to be rude or anything but as a fellow Hiddles fan I’m a little disappointed that people seem to be so angry over this. I mean, yes I’d be sad too if he didn’t see my homemade sign or sign a poster for me, but to doubt his character. To jump to the conclusion that his personality has changed because of fame? Yes that happens to some stars but can we have a little more confidence in Tom? Based on all the posts on tumblr from the last two premieres, not to mention the fact that he thanks everyone for coming out via twitter even if he didn’t get to see them, I’d say he’s still the same person and cares about his fans.
